With Epsilon CSGO participating at WESG this week, there was a position to fill in the roster.
The event means that all players on a team must be from the same nation, and as such, our current stand in Kalle, could not play.
So, with this in mind, the team and management felt this was an ideal opportunity to continue the good work started by our Hype Energy Academy, and promote Hampus ‘hampus’ Poser from Epsilon Hype.
Hampus will now take part in the biggest event of his fledgling career so far, with a massive $1.5m prize pool on the line!
The team are delighted to have him with them in China, and everybody is excited to start the action on Thursday.
Epsilon CEO, Greg Champagne had this to say about the news:
“With the nationality rule in place for WESG, it was a great opportunity to continue our player development in the Hype Academy. The team came to the conclusion that Hampus was ready to get his first shot in the biggest competition today!”
This is a natural progression of what was started with the Hype Academy, and obviously the support of our partners Hype Energy has been key in allowing the academy to start and now develop to the extent that one of those players can take his place at the top level.
We wish both Hampus and the rest of the team the very best of luck, and keep an eye on our Twitter feed for all the latest updates from China!
