Gfinity Elite Series: Week 6 Recap

Epsi holding Elite Series

With just one week remaining of the regular season of the Gfinity Elite Series, Epsilon were back in action in week five. Let’s have a look at how they got on.

Street Fighter V

Epsi SF would take on Team Endpoint in their quest for their first win of the season. Unable to make the playoffs, the squad were focused on getting the victory this time around. Takamura opened the game with a victory before Keftaroz took the wins in game three and four. Takamura would then round off the series with another victory to secure our first win of the season!

Rocket League

This week, Epsi RL would face Team Infused, another team which didn’t have a victory. Florus and Flarke quickly opened the scoring in the first game and managed to secure a convincing 5-2 win. Infused managed to level the series in game two but Epsi responded well in games three and four to take a 3-1 series victory. Another win! Could Epsi CS make it a clean sweep?

Counter Strike

Epsi CS would be looking to make it three wins out of three if they could defeat Team Endpoint on Nuke. It started well, picking up the first pistol round but a force buy from the opposition enabled Endpoint to establish a 6-2 lead. Epsi began to respond towards the end of the first half but Endpoint still had a 10-5 lead. Taking the second pistol would be the ideal start for the team as they soon closed the gap to tie the game at 10-10. After a back and forth contest which went the full 30 rounds, Endpoint were the eventual winners in a close game.

A solid week in the Elite Series as we move closer to the playoff stages.
